Cost Accountant/Analyst

Our client, a leading consumer packaged goods firm in North Toronto, is looking for a Cost Accountant/Analyst to support their Operations team. This global organization has a strong history of stability and low turnover while still driving innovation in their field. This role is highly visible with the business unit and has great opportunities for growth with new projects.

 

The main focus of the role is full accountability for the product costing model. In this role, you will be responsible for the variance reporting and researching thoroughly any variances.  Regular meetings will be held with production staff and Plant Manager to prepare commentaries and make suggestions for improvements.  Other duties include KPI setup, P&L commentaries, inventory tracking, distribution costing and supply chain work.   

Requirements for the role include 3+ years of experience in a Cost Accounting role within manufacturing as well as a Canadian accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA). Experience with SAP would be a strong asset. Advanced Excel skills are required for the role.
